High public interest to collect gemstones apparently gets the attention of East Jakarta Administration. After constructing Jakarta Gems Center in Rawa Bening, Jatinegara, gemstones center will also be opened in Grand Cakun, Jalan Raya Bekasi.

“In the future, there will be two trade centers and East Jakarta will have new icon as agate hunt place. We will make certain rules, such as smoking ban to make the visitors comfortable,” stated HR Krisdianto after opening gemstone exhibition at Grand Cakung, Thursday (5/1).
According to him, the public are now very enthusiast in hunting gemstones or agate. That is why this exhibition is held, especially because the Grand Cakung agate center is not yet known widely by the public.

This gemstones exhibition is participated by agate lovers and sellers from all over Indonesia, such as Jakarta, Kalimantan, Palembang, Pekanbaru, Makassar, Aceh, and Raja Ampat. Some of the gemstones displayed are sapphire, ruby, emerald, opal, kalimaya, chyrsoprase, jade, cat eye, amethyst, topaz, chalcedony, garnet, aquamarine, peridot, and agate.
